Greetings! Welcome to The Classy Academic. My name is Robyn. I’m 29 years old and I'm a wife, mother and currently a full time student working to finish my BS in Health Care Administration before heading to Grad School. I'm from so many areas of the country that I really can't claim home anywhere but if you truly know me, you know that home is where the heart is, so I can be home wherever I go.
East meets West when it comes to my husband. The Doc, as I call him, is an Oral Surgeon from Jordan who came here to study in the United States and achieve his 2nd DDS certification. Through some religious friends and a lot of exchanged e-mails, we ended up meeting and after a very short courtship of 3 1/2 months, the Disney fairy-tale of love at first sight was produced and we were engaged for just 2 weeks before he flew me to Manhattan to get married. I ended up leaving my small hometown for the BIG Apple and a whole new set of rules to figure out (Subways gotta love em!).
New York didn't last long as The Doc's certification requirements took us to Maryland where we have been for the past 18 months. And this June 2010, both of our lives were changed in the best of ways with our precious little daughter, Baby N, arrived into our lives. Since then it's been an epic adventure of struggles and joy that has been worth every minute.
So for me personally It seems that for the past 3 years all I have done is spent time moving. Next location, next set of new people, new jobs, new license plates, and yeah, new blog platforms, URLs, and titles. It's a never ending cycle in which I get to look forward to another round very soon as we set our eyes on the Midwest...
So if you catch me dancing in my kitchen or splashing through puddles in the rain, don't mind me, I'm just spontaneous that way :o)
