I finally got some sleep! **Cue dramatic happy music here** And yes I have been feeling like this little kitten here for the past two weeks, sleep didn't seem like it was going to happen with all of the work that I was putting in for this research proposal that had to be submitted last night.
You know that it's bad when you put the baby down, kiss your husband goodnight and walk into the living room, sit down and punch keys until 3 or 4am in the morning before crawling into bed when you close your eyes and suddenly the baby is crying wanting her early morning snack, the husband has to get up and have breakfast ready and lunch sacked up and all the while it's 5am. 2 hours of SLEEP! Ah, it's just too much.
BUT YES VICTORY IS MINE! As I submitted my research proposal 1 hour before the deadline had come and I literally looked at my husband and told him. BED TIME :-p
I don't even think he cared that I only threw a container of Ramen Noodles on the stove because as the baby slept, I was getting mine too. So as I said, I finally got some sleep and I'm a much better and happier person this morning.
On to a better and not so "here listen to my drama" note. I did some budget shopping day before yesterday. My husband calls it "clear your head" shopping, but amazingly enough I do come up with some of my best ideas when I'm locked in the house. Anyways, I've been trying to come up with ideas for a centerpiece for my table and everytime I hit my local Target, it's an unworldly price that I could seriously purchase a new text book with. (I can humbly admit, we're poor right not because of both The Doc and I being students..But we're super happy so no probs there)
So I wanted some scented candles to give it that warm comfy fall feeling as I try to Martha Stuart a wreath placement. Dollar Store here I come! Not ONLY did find some not so awful candles that will accent beautifully, but they had these awesome napkins (not the paper kind) that looked like they had been dropped off by accident and intended for another store that didn't sell everything for 1.00$. SCORE cloth napkins for 1.00 a pack! They also had Olay body scrub which I normally would buy at target for 3-4.00 a bottle and picked up enough to last me until this time next year :o)
Excited am I. Now If I could just figure out my centerpiece before Thanksgiving
